As a self-taught developer it’s kind of insulting to imply the only way to be a “good” developer is to get a CS degree or go to some overpriced boot camp. Some of the worst developers I’ve worked with have been CS grade or had certifications; it’s almost as if a piece of paper doesn’t make you good at your job, experience, attitude, and curiosity do.
